Finland's only metropolis and capital. Despite the icy conditions it is easily reachable by land or sea. During winter you can enjoy a hot sauna and a cold beer (yes, at the same time) right before taking a dip in the semi-frozen gulf of Finland. During summer it is great for visiting one of the many islands nearby shore.

You can find the oldest city of Finland on the southwestern shore. Turku means market in Finnish, which is how the city orgininally grew to what is still one of the largest settlements in Finland. The international trade has resulted in Turku hosting some of the best food and dining exerpiences in the country. A beautiful scenery during winter, but summer as well!

Santaclaus, sauna and snow. Do we really have to say more? Most people go to Rovaniemi to visit Santaclaus, ride on a huskysled and spend some time with reindeers. During spring it is also a beautiful location to explore the grassy landscape and spot a wide array of birds.
