Dresden

Dresden is the capital of the eastern German state of Saxony. It's known for its art museums and classic architecture of its reconstructed old town. The city had to be reconstructed after the controversial American and British bombing of Dresden near the end of World War II, which destroyed the entire city centre and killed approximately 25,000 people, many of whom were civilians.
