Chichén Itzá is a complex of Mayan ruins located on Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula near the small town of Pisté. It is part of the new seven wonders of the world and is one of the most visited locations in Mexico. The most famous of the ruins is the massive step pyramid, known as El Castillo or Temple of Kukulcan.
