Belize City

Belize City, located on a small peninsula on the Caribbean coast, is the largest city in Belize. It used to be the capital city until damage from a hurricane in 1961 made the government decide to relocate to Belmopan. Most tourists use Belize City as a transportation hub and spend little time in the city, however there are some cultural attractions to be found for those interested.
